The Pioneer Network is a national network of individuals who are among the vanguard of the long-term care field. Formed in 1997, the Pioneer Network's mission is to advocate and facilitate deep system change and transformation in our culture of aging. In-depth system change requires change in our elder's attitudes towards themselves and their aging; change in individual's and society's attitudes towards aging and elders; change in the attitudes and behavior of caregivers toward those they care for; and change in governmental policy and regulation. The aim of the Pioneer Network is nothing less than transforming the culture of aging for the 21st century.
